What is a cover cream?

The term 'cover cream' is the name given to an impressive product that is a high coverage concealer. This full-coverage makeup product is used to temporarily camouflage often hard to conceal skin conditions. Veil Cover Cream provides flawless full coverage but does so whilst looking incredibly natural. What is the difference between Cover Cream and an ordinary make-up concealer?

Our Cover Cream offers a higher level of coverage compared to an everyday make-up concealer. The main difference is the content of the pigment - cover creams contain much more pigment compared to high street make-up brands. Because Cover Cream has a high pigment content this means that a little goes a long way. Therefore, the product is very economical in use.

How easy is it to match my skin colour?

Veil Cover Cream comes in over 52 shades, including specialist shades to cover a range of birthmarks and veins. How are Veil products applied?

Can Veil be used on very sensitive skin?

Yes. However, we always recommend carrying out a small patch first to ensure that Veil products are suitable for your skin.

Are there any skin conditions that Veil should not be applied to?

Yes. Veil should never be applied to open wounds or broken skin.

Can you wear Veil on the beach or whilst swimming?

Yes. Veil can be used in heat. It is also waterproof and can be worn in water. Although Veil Cover Cream works fantastically on its own, the cream is made virtually smudge-proof by the application of the Finishing Powder.

What is Veil Finishing Powder used for?

Our finely milled finishing powder is perfect for further increasing the already impressive wear time of Veil Cover Cream. Not only does the powder increase longevity, but it also eliminates any shine that may be present giving the area a soft natural-looking matte finish.

Can Veil Cover Cream counteract unwanted tones in the skin?

Yes. As well as being available in a wide range of shades to match a variety of skin tones, Veil Cover Cream is also available in colour correcting shades. What is yellow soft paraffin used for and how does it compare to other well-known brands?

Yellow soft paraffin is a multi-use product that is also more commonly known as petroleum jelly. This product can be used to lock moisture into the skin thus preventing the skin from becoming dry, chapped and cracked. Yellow soft paraffin can be used on various areas such as the lips, hands, nails and heels. Veil Yellow Soft Paraffin differs from other brands as our petroleum jelly is unbleached. When it comes to yellow soft paraffin being bleached, this step is purely carried out to give the product a more appealing appearance. However, by carrying out this unnecessary step you create nasty fumes which then go into the air. Because of this, we don’t alter the appearance of our product. Therefore, Veil Soft Paraffin is kinder to the environment compared to other products that have been through the bleaching process.
